Exploring Tomorrow’s Innovations: IBTE SSRC EMBARK ON EYE-OPENING VISIT TO BRUNEI INNOVATION LAB THURSDAY, 7 DECEMBER — In a remarkable academic initiative, students and lecturers from the Institute of Brunei Technological Education’s Sultan Saiful Rijal Campus (IBTE SSRC) embarked on a journey of exploration into the cutting-edge world of modern technology. The campus organized an insightful visit to the Brunei Innovation Lab, located in the bustling heart of Anggerek Desa. Upon arrival, the students were welcomed, grouped into two and led by Ishaq Ibrahim, an intern from Politeknik Brunei, along with Naem Syukry, an intern from International Graduate Studies College (KOLEJ IGS), Kiulap, delivered presentations and tours around the lab to the groups, along with the elaboration of the firm’s objectives and goals, offerings, activities and more. The tour showcased the institution’s commitment to providing students with opportunities beyond the classroom, offering them a glimpse into the world of real-world research and innovation. Students had the privilege of interacting with additive manufacturing, driving simulator and virtual reality (VR) sets displayed in Digital Playroom of the lab, along with gaining insights. The Brunei Innovation Lab showcased a plethora of groundbreaking projects that covers up BIL’s 10 Tech Domains. The students were captivated as they witnessed how these technologies are shaping the present and paving the way for an exciting future. One of the highlights of the visit was a hands-on session where students were given the chance to engage with the latest technological devices and gadgets. From virtual reality simulations to driving simulator, the students immersed themselves in an environment that epitomizes the forefront of technological progress. In addition to the technical insights gained, the visit also served as a platform to raise awareness about the crucial role technology plays in addressing contemporary challenges.
